How it works

STEP ONE

Book your appointment!

​

Call, email or text us in advance to book your appointment. These fill up fast.

STEP TWO

Make sure your animal is ready for slaughter & fill out your cut sheet!

  • All beef & lambs need brand inspection papers to Cowboy State Custom Meats within 7 days of slaughter. 

  • All animals should be in a small corral prior to our arrival. 

  • Below is a link to our cut sheets to be filled out. 

  • Following the day of slaughter, cut sheets need to be completed witin 24 hours for Hogs & Lambs and within 7 days for Beef.

STEP THREE

Pick up your products

Once your animal has been processed & cuts have been frozen & packaged, you will receive a text message. 

​

You will be given 5 business days to pick up your products following this notification. For each day outside of this, you will be assessed a storage fee per box. Balances not paid within 30 days will also be assessed an additional late fee.

We are here for pick up orders Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

CUSTOM PROCESSINg prices

Processing Fees: Fee is based on the hot carcass weight & includes processing (either paper wrap or vacuum sealed). It guarantees you 12-14 days of aging time in the cooler for beef, bison & yak, & 48 hours for hogs, lambs, & goats. Carcass may hang longer due to weather, equipment breakdowns, workforce availability, etc.

Beef, Buffalo, Yak

  • Slaughter: $100

  • Over 900lbs HCW: $40 additional

  • Disposal: $15

  • Receiving Fee: $50

  • Paper Wrapping Processing: $.95/lb

  • Vacuum Sealed Processing: $1.15

  • Extended Hang Time: $140/week per beef

  • Dry aging: $70/week per primal

  • Split Fee: $25 on each side of split

  • Minimum Charge: $650

Pork

  • Slaughter: $75

  • Disposal: $10

  • Receiving Fee: $35

  • Boar/Sow Fee: $35

  • Paper Wrapping Processing: $.90/lb

  • Vacuum Sealed Processing: $1.10/lb

  • Split Fee: $25 on each side of split

  • Minimum Charge: $210

Lamb & Goat

  • Slaughter & Processing (paper wrapped): $125

  • Vacuum Sealed (additional): $50

  • Disposal: $5

  • Receiving Fee: $30

  • Split Fee: $20 on each side of split

General Fees

  • Unflavored Patties: $2.00/lb (30 lb minimum)

  • Cubed Steaks: $2.00/lb

  • Stew, Kabob, Fajita Meat: $2.00/lb

  • Bratwurst: $4.00/lb

  • Flavored Bratwurst: $4.25/lb

  • Bulk Flavored Sausage: $1.25/lb

  • Flavored Sausage Patties: $2.75/lb

  • Flavored Sausage Links: $3.85/lb

  • Curing/Smoking: $2.00/lb

  • Cape w/head: $125

  • Cape w/o head: $50

  • Save Hide or Head: $25

  • Mileage: $4.25/mile after 20 miles
